Soul Divas Trio

Annie Collins - Vocals / M.C. / Manager
Annie was born with a passion for music and a powerful voice to complement it. Annie studied at the National Theatre School and has more than 20 years stage experience in music & theatre. Her energy, professionalism and strength of character provide the confidence to manage and front the group musically. Her early influences included soul, jazz & disco greats like Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Donna Summer & Gloria Gaynor. Her modern influences lean toward soulful/funky artists like Jamiroquai, Anastacia and beautiful ceremony ballads from Eva Cassidy, Faith Hill and Alicia Keys.  Her organisational experience and excellent speaking voice provide a solid foundation for her M.C. service and her rich vocals add warmth & sincerity to her ceremony music.
Sally Hetherington - Vocals
Sally ventured into the music industry 18 years ago, writing and recording her own songs. By 1993 she was fortunate enough to gain a recording contract with an independent record label. Sally's current influences include songwriters such as Dido and dance artists like the inimitable Kylie & Madonna.  Sally has been greatly influenced by 80’s energetic dance music artists, yet her soulful vocal range lends itself to a huge range of styles. With her entrancing lead vocals and magic harmonies, she'll have you on the dance floor, moving and grooving before you know it. Mmmm you'll love this sassy girl's fabulous vocal renditions.
Chris Collins - Guitar
Chris first picked up a guitar at age 10 and hasn’t put it down since.  An extremely talented lead guitarist and experienced sound engineer, Chris has worked with many Melbourne original and cover bands such as Big Night Out, LBD, Synchronicity and Rainmaker.  Chris' influences range from modern jazz and funk to traditional rock.   His sound engineering credits include Colleen Hewitt, The Great Big Opera Company and award winning sound design for theatrical productions.  Chris does most of the editing on our digital sequences giving them a realistic balance rarely achieved by most bands.  He also enjoys the odd glass of Guinness or two and donuts!.

Peter De Ryk - Jazz Pianist
Peter has over 16 years professional experience in various original and cover bands working interstate and overseas, including Mood Indigo and the Cotton Club Orchestra. A consumate musician with a wonderful feel for jazz, Peter is also brilliant in rhythm & blues, rock and soul. Peter is a musical director in theatre and in his spare time he teaches & composes, having written & recorded several albums.
Greg Clarkson, Nigel Maas, Cheryl Clarke - Saxophones
These musos are Melbourne's most experienced session musos working with Soul Divas to add sparkle & personality to larger events.  They have worked with the world's best musicians locally and overseas and we are privileged to have them on our books to call in when that extra special line up is required to fill out larger events.  There's nothing that sounds as sexy as a sax! (except the Divas of course!)
